
The Montana Media Lab is looking for classrooms to partner with this fall! Are you a teacher or staff member at a rural high school near Missoula? Are you interested in bringing a hands-on reporting workshop to your school or classroom? Fill out the recruitment form below.
The Montana Media Lab Youth Voices program partners with classrooms and teen programs in rural and Indigenous communities around Montana to lead journalism workshops, culminating in a radio piece covering a story important to students in their area.
This fall, we’re looking for rural high schools within an hour and a half of Missoula to report student-driven stories with. We are partnering with 2-3 classrooms this fall. If we are not able to work with you this semester, we would love to stay in contact for future workshops!
Qualifications:
– Your school is at most 1.5 hours away from Missoula
– Your school is in Lake, Flathead, or Missoula county
– Your school is in a rural area with a population of 5,000 or less
– The workshop must fall between September 7-December 11, 2026
