Elections for Blackfeet Tribal Business Council will be held June 30, 2026. Local teens interviewed candidates for BTBC to create a resource for voters at the first Montana Media Lab Journalism Apprenticeship at Blackfeet Community College in Browning.
Apprentices attended a one-week program, run by the Montana Media Lab at the University of Montana School of Journalism. Participants gained job experience, career skills and produced important reporting for their community.
Each of the ten BTBC candidates was invited for an interview at Blackfeet Community College in early June. Apprentices worked together to choose five questions to ask every candidate. Apprentices also asked candidate-specific questions that informed their introductions of each candidate.
