What is the Montana Media Lab?

We’re an innovative, digital media lab focused on empowering journalists and non-journalists to tell their stories on multiple platforms.

What do we do?

A lot! We specialize in hands-on media workshops for all skill levels taught by industry experts. We offer intensive workshops in podcasting, video, mobile media, writing and social media. And we teach news literacy and digital storytelling to rural and Native American youth in schools across Montana.

Where are we located?

We’re housed in the University of Montana’s state of the art School of Journalism, a nationally recognized leader in journalism education, in Missoula, Montana.
