Anne Bailey is a freelance journalist and founding director of the Montana Media Lab at the University of Montana School of Journalism. She has taught video storytelling at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, the Rocky Mountain School of Photography, the Freedom Forum Institute and the University of Montana School of Journalism. She also designed and led two citizen journalism training projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tunisia. Her work has been published in Slate, PRI’s The World, Panoply Media, Deutsche Welle, Roads and Kingdoms, BuzzFeed, News Photographer, Al Jazeera America, Reuters, PBS MediaShift, Montana Magazine, Montana Quarterly and others.
